“The Dance” is being held in the gem of the San
Diego back country in Julian, California on Saturday. The
event is sponsored by the Sons of the American Legion as a fundraising event
to benefit local charities, schools and the special needs of people in our
community.
This twilight event is being held outdoors at
the beautiful Menghini Winery, located two miles north of Julian. It begins
at 3 p.m. with dance lessons until 5 p.m. If you’ve never danced before or
just need a tune-up we’ll have you two-stepping, waltzing and swinging in no
time. We’ll even have a session for the kids. The main event begins at 5
p.m. and features one of California’s top country and western groups, “The
Working Cowboy Band.” We’ll dance until 10 p.m. under a beautiful starlit
sky. Come hungry… our cooks will be selling slow cooked barbecue beginning
at 4 p.m. Soft drinks, beer and wine and treats for the kids will also be
available.
If you want to experience a small town event in a big way, come to Julian
for “The Dance”, the first in a new Julian tradition.
