‘Cowboy Jack’ Johnson is the lead singer from The Hank Show, Band In Black and is the singing cowboy for Rawhide Ranch in Bonsall, CA.

December: Holiday of Hope Annual Leg-Up Ranch Charity Event 2008 – The event will feature a number of wonderful holiday opportunities, including photos with Santa, Pony Rides, a Christmas Tree Lot, Live Music, a Trading Post and a Live Auction.  There will be food, fun, a petting corral filled with farm animals, and a perfect opportunity to enjoy scenic Julian with your family while supporting a wonderful non-profit organization – The Leg-Up Ranch, located at 4859 Highway 79, just 7 miles South of Historic Julian.  The event will begin at 11:00am and end at 5:00pm.  There is NO ADMISSION FEE. www.legupranch.org

April: Julian Merchants Association "A Taste of Julian" a self guided culinary tour to explore the one-of-a-kind unique restaurants throughout Julian and its surrounding area.    Tickets will include a colored wristband to easily identify them along with a map of participating restaurants and a complimentary recipe booklet. May : 2nd Annual Julian Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament will be played at the Warner Springs Resort.  Join area golfers in an Apple Day Centennial special event.  Play "Best Ball" rules with an entry of $75 if signed up by April 30th.  Entry fees beginning May 1 are $85.  A brand new Corvette will be awarded to the first person skilled enough to sink a "hole in one."  There is also a prize reserved for the shot "closest to the pin."  The awards banquet will finish the day of play at nearby Santa Ysabel Casino. Individual Hole Sponsorships still available for $200.
